I am thinking of switching to another service provider for my mobile phone. Can anyone tell me whether or not it is worth it to get a port authorisation code? I know it would let me keep the same phone number and not have to go around telling everyone the new one, but I am wondering how much trouble it is to get this code. Is it easy? I am hoping I can just call them up and get it, and then call up the new company and set up a new phone using the same number. Does it work like this or is it more complicated?
