Some would say it’s about technique. I’d say it’s about being able to see the damned ball in the first place. I’ve been playing squash with my son for about the last six years (I taught him myself), and he’d never beaten me. Well, up until about six months ago, anyway.The fact that he’s now 17 shouldn’t make any difference, I’ve been playing this game since ten years before he was even born. I’d been noticing that more and more, I was mis-hitting the ball. More balls off the frame of the racquet means more points lost, until eventually he beat me. My wife suggested I see a Winnipeg laser eye surgeon, which I did. I had the operation six months ago, and am now beating my son again. The status quo has been maintained. For now, anyway.
