Tanning Conceals Acne Blemishes
March 31, 2010 3:47 am BusinessModerate and regular tanning can conceal ugly acne blemishes. Make-up and cover-ups will only provide temporary camouflage. Cosmetics will wash off and you will have to apply it everyday. It may actually aggravate your acne problem because make-up clogs the pores which make acne worse. Tanning also covers all areas of your body, so, if you have acne on your neck or back, it can be concealed by a full body tan.
It decreases acne blemishes by creating a uniform glow to the skin. Shades between the acne affected area and normal skin loses its contrast producing healthier looking skin. Tanning only hides the evidence of acne but does not treat it. Consult with a dermatologist about getting to the root of the acne problem and ask if any medication you take for it can have adverse effects to indoor tanning.
