Purchasing a used auto can be a difficult process and having pease of mind makes it easier.  One item to consider is purchasing an extended warranty to cover any unforseen issues.  For starters know if the used auto your are considering is still under factory warranty which is usually 36,000 miles or 3 years from original purchase date.  When a used auto has used up most or all of its factory warranty, purchasing additional coverage should be considered.
